This well written primer goes over some good but basic principles for designing payment flows in mobile wallet apps to make them as secure and seamless as possible for the consumer / shopper. The author provides useful graphics and screen shots of existing consumer-focused mobile wallet apps (such as those from Google, Starbucks, and LevelUp) to illustrate the points he's making regarding "good" and "not-so-good" user interface and payment flow "features", and also discusses the pro's and con's of supporting technologies such as NFC (Near Field Communication), bar- or QR- codes, and geolocation.

The discussion then moves to a prognostication on interesting ways mobile wallet apps can be extended in the future, all involving integration with several other services to provide even more conveniences for and handy information to a consumer / shopper. Overall, a very good and informative read.

Confusing and full of errors

I used this book as an undergrad and it was terrible. First, there must have been over 100 errors in the book. Second, the explainations of complicated principles were often incomplete. Third, the software that came with it was Fortran code that had to be compiled - if you don't have the write math libraries they won't work at all. If you are looking for a good chemical engineering thermo book, try Smith, Van Hess, and Abbott.

We just used this book in Chem Eng Thermo, and it explains things pretty well. I had Chem Thermo before, and that was mostly theory. The applications (machines, engines, etc) are the big thing in this book. It might help that I had Chem Thermo before. There are lots of good examples all worked out.

Finally, a thermo book you can actually read! Lots of worked examples, diagrams and tables of properties. This is the second book I've used for thermo, and now I think I actually inderstand it.

A beautiful testament to relationship with Deity

Loki is a very misunderstood God within the Northern Tradition - hated and feared by many, His name used by others to justify bad or foolish behavior. In this book we see a very different portrait of Loki, the stories of a deeply personal and meaningful relationship between the author and Loki, whose fire and passion and wonder truly comes through by each twist and turn. This book is also worthy as an example of fine skaldcraft, reviving poetry for the Gods as is only proper in the Northern Tradition. Hail Loki.
