The best bible study...period !

I have gone through this study yearly for the last 8 years and each time I have gained new insights into God's direction for my life. The greatest thing about this study is that I see in my answers to the questions year to year a clear evidence of God's faithfulness to me and His awesome love. I give this study away often as God leads...as a gift, and God gifts me...by increasing my faith as I see Him use this study in other's lives.

Fantastic book

I adore this book. It is the book in an ongoing study at my church. I'm not a brand new Christian, but I'm by no means a "seasoned pro". This book is so perfect. It very throughly, yet succinctly, covers the basics. Don't take that to mean it's a primer, per se. The "old timers" in the study I took really REALLY appreciated the author's insights and ability to explain things. This book is essential for those who are new believers, but it would definitely benefit those who've been around the block AND those on the fence, or those who just want to know what Christians are all about. No matter what, I knew within the first 2 chapters that I'd refer to this book in particular over and over again. I'm so grateful to Will Wyatt for this book describing God's unconditional and everlasting love, and I'm ordering it for my mom, a new believer. Praise God!

This is a study on Christian Basics, but basics so profound and foundational to a daily, effective, meaningful relationship with Christ that I will be able to study it year after year and still be changed by it's direction in the scriptures.

This is a very helpful reference book where you can click on words like "fear", or "forgiveness", or "sorrow", or "regret", or "depression" and go to a list of verses from the Bible that apply to that word. The reference part at the end of the book is pretty interesting, too. It's the only place I've ever seen the Old Testament prophesy verses listed with their New Testament counterpart verses that show how the prophesies were fulfilled. There are other things in the reference section also that are new to me and that I found fascinating.

A very organized and concise book that directs the reader easily to verses of interest. I especially liked the section of the prophesies and their accompanying fulfillment verses. Thanks to the author for a wonderful reference and spiritually themed book that made the Bible even more accessible.

As an educator I was able to use this book with my students who were pursuing a program in school management and leadership. John Sharp is a principal technologist at Content Master, part of CM Group Ltd, a technical authoring and consulting company. An expert on developing applications with the Microsoft .NET Framework and interoperability issues, John has produced numerous tutorials, white papers, and presentations on distributed systems, Web services, and the C# language. He is the author of several popular books, including Microsoft Windows� Communication Foundation Step By Step and Microsoft Visual C# Step By Step.

Jon Jagger is an independent software trainer, designer, and consultant specializing in Visual C# .NET, C++, Java, C, OO, patterns, design, and general programming. His work on this book also was done through Content Master Ltd. Jon is a U.K. C++ standards panel member and a regular contributor to the ACCU Overload journal. His interests include training excellence, design, simplicity, problem solving, and Monty Python (which he says is required knowledge for all software developers). Jon, his wife, Natalie, and their three small children (Ellie, Penny, and Patrick) live in a delightful 104-year-old house overlooking a seven-acre field of barley in a village called Trull (population 300). Excellent Guidebook

Granted, it probably helps if you're migrating from another language (like I was - from VB), but it's an excellent text which gives you plenty of background & extra information, then takes you into step-by-step exercises to reinforce what you just read. This methodology really worked for me, and I highly recommend this book. Initially, I was concerned that it was going to be literally just step-by-step instructions on how to use C# and Visual Studio .NET, but the information between the exercises, plus additional notes and best practices really helped me out with learning the language and some potential gotchas.

Not a tutorial almost a text book, more of a referance

This book is detail oriented, and goes into some depth into the structure and capablities of the language.Overall it is well organized and focused with little fluff, and does touch on relavant topics. However, there is little in the way of the 'hands on' projects that can be found in a tutorial or most college textbooks..I found this aspect annoying since this is the primary way I learn. Ultimatley, I will end up using it for a referance
